Best known for her warm charismatic persona, Rima Salma (a.k.a.; Rima Bou Aoun) is also a talented singer and musician. In 2004, she left her career in Hotel management and hospitality to be fully dedicated to her music. She has been performing in notable venues and events since. She has also been mastering her skills, continuously undertaking personal training in classical piano and in singing.

Rima Salma has a warm and affectionate voice that is delighting audiences, and entertaining joyful events. She started performing Jazz and Bossa Nova at Bar Louie and the Blue Note Café. Her first Jazz band included Nidal Abou Samra on the piano and saxophone, Samer Saghir on Drums, and Abboud Saadi on Bass.

Rima Salma has performed at the most prestigious venues in Lebanon. Those include Hemingways at the Mövenpick Hotel, The Mzar Intercontinental and Rikky’s in Faqra, the 31st at the Hilton Habtour Grand Hotel, and Venezzia at the Hilton Metropolitan Hotel. More prestigious venues include the O Bar in Ein Mreisseh, the Music Hall, and the Panama Restaurant in down town Beirut. She has also been part of a salsa band: Salsa Picante, performing weekly at the Democratic Republic of Music in Hamra.

Rima Salma has a vocal style that tells the story of every song she performs, “… I live every song I sing, with my facial expression, my voice, and my whole body… I live my performance and enjoy every moment of it…” she says.

Rima Salma is now singing with Arthur Satian Quartet. She sings Jazz and Bossa Nova standards. She is also available for private events. You can listen to some of her covers on her Facebook page, or on YouTube, and contact her here for further information.
